What's Actually Included — and What Isn't
Every GolfGraeagle package includes: guaranteed tee times at the booked courses, lodging at the confirmed property, coordination of the full day-by-day itinerary, and a single point of contact for the whole trip.
What's not included by default: individual meals and drinks, transportation between your lodging and courses (all within 25 minutes — most groups just drive), gratuities, and prizes for tournament formats. Dining reservations at Sardine Lake, Grizzly Grill, and the Iron Door can be added to any package on request.
The 5 Courses — and Which Tier They Fit
Graeagle Meadows (Par 72, Slope 120, since 1968) is the valley's most accessible course and the most common choice for a first round or a mixed-handicap group. It appears in nearly every value-tier package. Green fees are the lowest of the five.
Plumas Pines (Par 72, Slope 132, Top 5 Value in CA) is a shot-maker's course — tight fairways, strategic layout, great course conditions. Consistently ranked one of the best values in Northern California golf. Shows up in value and standard packages.
Whitehawk Ranch (Par 71, Slope 132, Top 20 CA) is where serious golfers come for a real test. Twelve holes through meadows, six through forested hillsides. The course that separates Graeagle from other mountain destinations. Present in nearly every package at every tier.
Grizzly Ranch (Par 72, Slope 140, Golf Digest Top 100) is the anchor round of any serious Graeagle trip. At 7,411 yards and 4,800–5,400 ft elevation, the ball flies differently and the layout demands everything. Adding Grizzly to a package typically bumps the per-person price by $50–$150 compared to equivalent packages without it.
Nakoma — The Dragon (Par 72, Slope 147, Golf World Top 75) is the only course in the world with a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed clubhouse. Slope 147 makes it the most demanding course in the valley. Packages including Nakoma start at $1,120/pp and are 3-night minimum.
Lodging Options by Group Size
River Pines Resort is the default base for most Graeagle groups — flexible room types handle mixed groups, on-site pool and hot tub, The Roadhouse steakhouse on-site. Works for groups of 4 to 32+.
Townhomes at Plumas Pines is the best option for groups that want to cook together or spread out across multi-bedroom units. Steps from the Plumas Pines first tee. Pool on-site. Works best for groups of 8–20.
Chalet View Lodge has the best amenities of any Graeagle property — 10 forested acres, spa, Eureka Peak Brewing on-site, a 9-hole executive course. Used in standard and premium packages.
The Inn at Nakoma is the right choice for Dragon-focused packages. 42 rooms, Frette linens, Fifty44 Restaurant, spa, heated pool. Steps from the first tee. Premium tier only.
How to Get the Best Price
The single biggest lever is group size. Going from 8 to 16 golfers can reduce per-person cost by $40–$80. The second lever is avoiding summer peak weekends — the same package in September runs $50–$100 less per person than in July. Third: playing 3 rounds over 2 nights instead of 2 rounds gives you significantly more golf per dollar spent on lodging.
